"100% skill, 0% luck" is a claim about how the assessment side of Knozii works. Claims like that are easy to make, so here is what it actually rules out.
Assessments are graded on answers
A skills exam is passed by answering correctly. There is no randomised element, no bonus draw, and no way to pass by being fortunate. Exams can fail you, and pass rates are published per badge so you can see how hard each one is before you pay the $5.
Ranking is composed of things you did
Profile Strength is built from a completed profile, verified identity, community micro-tasks completed, assessments passed, verified skill badges earned, and merchant ratings maintained. Every one of those is an action with a known weight.
There is no hidden factor and no lottery in who appears where.
Paying does not substitute for skill
Membership tiers unlock participation, not preference. Standard lets you apply for merchant-funded work; it does not move you ahead of a stronger applicant. Merchant tiers buy push, never placement. And Gold buys visibility, not selection.
These are the rules that make the phrase mean something. Without them, "skill" would be a description of the exam and nothing else.
What is not in your control
Honesty requires stating this too. Whether work exists near you, how many businesses are posting, and how many others applied are not skill questions — they are density questions, and they can dominate the outcome for a member in a thin area.
