One of the important ideas in the Knomart Community model is that your reputation belongs to you. A change in membership status should not turn your previous work, ratings or badges into a blank page.
If you pause your membership
A member may deliberately pause without a limit and resume later. The purpose is to give you room to step away when you need to, while keeping the record you have built.
When you resume, there is a 7-day wait before you can apply for work. During that period, the board remains visible, so you can still see what opportunities are available.
If your membership lapses
A missed payment moves you to the Free tier. Your access changes, but your profile remains intact. You keep your badges, work history and ratings because they were earned through your participation.
The main work-related restriction is that Free members cannot apply for posted work. You can still browse, learn, play and complete available micro-tasks while remaining part of the community.
Why your reputation stays
Your reputation is part of the value you build over time. The model treats your profile as a continuing record rather than something that belongs to a particular paid period.
This also supports a simple principle: one account, one identity, one reputation — billed per role. Your history as a worker should remain connected to you even when your current membership status changes.
What changes — and what does not
- Your membership status can change. You may move between paid and Free status.
- Your ability to apply can change. Free members cannot apply for posted work.
- Your reputation remains. Earned badges, work history and ratings are not confiscated.
- Your journey can continue. You can keep learning, browsing and participating while on Free.
The simple takeaway
