Delete your Knozii account
You can close your Knozii account whenever you want, from inside the app or by writing to us. This page explains both, and exactly what happens to your information afterwards.
In the app
Open the menu, then:
- Tap the menu button at the top left.
- Scroll to Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm with your password.
If you joined with your phone number and a verification code, you may never have set a password. In that case use the email route below and we will close the account for you.
By email
Write to privacy@knozii.com from the email address on your account, or tell us the phone number you signed up with, and ask us to close it. We will confirm your identity before deleting anything, so that nobody can close someone else's account.
You do not need the app installed to ask.
What happens to your information
Removed from your account: your phone number, your email address and your name are cleared from the contact record, and the account is closed so it can no longer be signed in to. The phone number becomes free to use again if you ever want to rejoin.
Kept: records of discounts you have already redeemed. A merchant gave you a real discount against those, and the record is their evidence that it happened. They stay attached to the transaction, not to a usable account.
Diamonds: any unspent Diamonds are lost when the account closes. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred out or refunded.
Asking for complete erasure
If you want everything removed, including redemption records, email privacy@knozii.com and say so. We will tell you what we are able to erase and what we are required to keep, and why.
