How Knomart Membership Pause Works

Knomart lets members pause deliberately without limit and resume when they are ready, while a 7-day wait protects the opportunity board when they return.

Not every month will look the same.

You may be busy, short on time, travelling, changing direction or simply not need to pursue work for a while. Knomart's membership model recognises that a member may need to step back without wanting to leave the community permanently.

You can pause your membership deliberately

Under the current Knomart model, a member may pause deliberately, without limit, and resume any time.

Pause is therefore different from simply missing a payment. It is a deliberate choice by the member to stop their paid membership activity for a period and return later.

The purpose is practical: pausing gives you a way to manage your participation without turning a temporary break into a permanent exit.

Why does Knomart allow unlimited pauses?

People's circumstances change. A member may not need paid access every month, but that does not mean the member has no future value to the community.

The pause model gives that person a re-engagement path. Instead of treating every break as churn, Knomart allows the member to step away and come back when the timing makes sense.

Your pause is about your membership status. It is not a statement about your skills, your reputation or the value of the profile you have built.

What happens when you resume?

You can resume your membership at any time, but there is an important rule: a 7-day wait applies before you can apply for work again.

This is not designed as a punishment. It exists because the opportunity board is visible to free members. Without a waiting period, someone could watch the board while paused, spot a particularly attractive opportunity, resume immediately, take it and pause again.

The waiting period creates a fairer boundary between browsing opportunities while paused and actively applying after resuming.

Pause does not mean disappearing

The broader Knomart model is designed to keep members inside the community even when they are not currently paying for a paid role.

A member who pauses can therefore return to the journey rather than starting from zero. The goal is to make participation flexible enough for real life while keeping the rules clear for everyone.

When should you pause?

Consider pausing when you know you do not need to actively pursue paid membership for a period and would rather return later than continue paying while inactive.

The key is to make the decision deliberately. Pause when you need the break, resume when you are ready, and remember that the 7-day waiting period applies before you can apply for work again.

Pause is not quitting. It is a controlled way to step back, keep your place in the community and return when the time is right.
