Pausing your Knomart membership gives you flexibility. But when you come back, you do not immediately regain the ability to apply for work.
Under the current model, a 7-day wait applies before you can apply for work after resuming membership.
Why is there a waiting period?
The reason is simple: the opportunity board is visible to free members.
That means a member can remain aware of opportunities even while paused. Without a waiting period, someone could stay paused, watch the board, wait for an opportunity they particularly want, resume membership immediately, apply for it and then potentially pause again.
The seven-day rule creates a clear boundary. You can return to your membership, but you must remain active for a short period before you can compete for posted work again.
It is not a penalty for pausing
The waiting period should not be understood as a punishment.
Knomart allows members to pause deliberately without limit and resume when they are ready. The seven-day wait simply separates resuming membership from applying for work.
This distinction matters because the rule protects the opportunity system, not because pausing is considered bad behaviour.
What can you do during the wait?
The important thing is not to treat the seven days as lost time.
Use the period to get ready to participate again. Review your profile, make sure your skills and experience are accurately represented, check that your information is current and prepare for the kinds of opportunities you want to pursue.
Your goal should be to return ready, rather than simply returning quickly.
Why does fairness matter?
Knomart's work-allocation model is designed around Profile Strength, with members applying and merchants selecting. Membership payment is not supposed to become a shortcut to the front of the job queue.
The seven-day wait supports that broader principle. It prevents a paused member from using the public visibility of the board as a way to selectively enter only when an attractive opportunity appears.

You can pause when you need to. You can resume when you are ready. But after resuming, wait seven days before applying for work.
Think of those seven days as a re-entry period: reconnect with the community, make sure your profile is ready and then return to the opportunity board as an active participant.
