Under the current Knomart model, a membership lapse changes your membership status. It does not mean starting your journey again.
Your history is part of your journey
Your work history represents the experience you have built inside the Knomart Community. It can show that you have participated, completed opportunities and developed a record over time.
That history is different from your current membership tier. Your membership determines what you can do right now; it should not rewrite what you have already done.
What about your badges?
Badges are part of the evidence you build around your skills. Knomart's wider member model uses verified badges as an important part of Profile Strength, which helps determine how members rank when applying for opportunities.
That makes your badges more than decoration. They are part of the professional record you build through the community.
The important distinction is this: losing paid membership access is not the same as losing the record you earned.
What changes when membership lapses?
When a paid membership lapses, the current model moves the member to the Free tier. Free members can remain inside the community and browse opportunities, but they cannot apply for posted work.
Your access can therefore change while your history remains part of your account. You are not being asked to rebuild your identity, experience or previous progress from zero simply because you are temporarily on Free.
Why does this matter?
A useful community should allow people to build something that becomes more valuable over time.
If every difficult month erased previous progress, members would have little reason to invest in learning, completing work or building a reputation. Keeping the record intact creates continuity.
It also makes the journey more honest. You can pause your paid participation without pretending that the work you completed before the pause never happened.

Your Knomart membership status can change. Your journey does not have to disappear with it.
Your badges and work history are part of what you have built. A lapse may temporarily limit your ability to apply for new posted work, but it should not turn your previous progress into a blank page.
