Knomart Escrow: Where Your Payment Sits Before Work Is Confirmed

When you see a paid opportunity on Knozii, the payment should not be a promise made after the work is finished. Under the Knomart model, the opportunity is funded before it appears on the board. The money is then held for the job while the work moves through the confirmation process.

The money comes before the opportunity

A merchant who wants to post paid work first funds the opportunity. The system does not publish the job unless the required money is there.

This creates a simple sequence: fund the opportunity → publish the job → member applies → merchant selects → work is completed → work is confirmed → payment is released.

For a member, the important part is the beginning of that sequence. You are not applying to an unfunded promise.

What escrow is doing

Escrow is the holding mechanism between funding the opportunity and releasing the payment. The money is kept separate from the ordinary flow of the merchant's funds while the job is being completed and confirmed.

The purpose is straightforward: connect the advertised payment to the specific opportunity instead of leaving the member dependent on a future promise from the merchant.

What happens after you are selected?

Being selected does not mean the money is immediately transferred to you. The work still has to be completed and confirmed according to the platform's process.

Once the work reaches the confirmation stage, the payment can move toward release. The model also provides a seven-day release mechanism after confirmation, giving the payment process a defined path instead of leaving it open-ended.

What escrow does not mean

Escrow is not a guarantee that every piece of work will be successful or that every dispute disappears. It is primarily a payment structure.

It also does not mean that every applicant gets paid. Only the member selected for the opportunity performs the work, and payment follows the applicable completion and confirmation process.

Why this matters to members

When you apply for work, your time has value. You may prepare an application, travel to complete a task or spend hours doing the work itself. Knowing that a paid opportunity was funded before it appeared gives you an important piece of information before you commit your effort.

It also makes the job board easier to understand. The amount displayed with the opportunity is connected to money that has already been provided for that opportunity.

A safer way to think about getting paid

Knomart escrow is not about making unrealistic promises. It is about putting the payment structure in place before the work begins and defining what happens between funding, completion, confirmation and release.

The opportunity is funded first. The work is completed and confirmed. Then the payment is released.
