Why Members Receive the Full Posted Amount

When you see a paid opportunity on Knozii, the amount shown on the job is the amount you are meant to receive for completing that work. The platform charge is not quietly taken out of your posted earnings.

The price you see is your payment

Suppose a merchant posts a job with a payment of KES 5,000. The member's posted amount is KES 5,000. The member does not receive KES 4,750 because the platform has deducted five percent from the job payment.

Instead, the 5% platform charge is paid by the business, on top of the amount posted for the member.

Why the distinction matters

Many platforms make it difficult to understand what a worker will actually receive because fees can be deducted from the advertised amount. That creates a gap between what the opportunity appears to pay and what reaches the worker.

Knomart uses a clearer rule for paid opportunities: the member keeps the full posted amount.

This makes the opportunity easier to evaluate before you apply. If the board says the work pays KES 5,000, you can assess the opportunity using KES 5,000 as the posted member payment rather than mentally calculating a platform deduction.

Who pays the platform charge?

The business posting the opportunity pays the 5% platform charge. It is an additional business-side cost rather than a deduction from the member's posted payment.

This keeps the two amounts separate:

  • Member payment: the full amount posted for the work.
  • Platform charge: 5%, paid by the business on top.

What this does not change

Receiving the full posted amount does not mean every application is successful or that payment happens before the work is completed and confirmed. The opportunity still follows the platform's funding, work-completion and confirmation process.

It simply means that when the opportunity states what the member will be paid, that posted amount is not reduced by the platform's 5% charge.

A simple rule to remember

You should not have to wonder whether the amount on the board is the amount you will earn from the job.

The member gets the full posted amount. The business pays the 5% platform charge on top.

That separation keeps the cost of using the platform on the side that is paying for the business service, while the member's advertised earnings remain clear.
