Knomart has two currencies doing two different jobs. Diamonds reward activity and buy goods. Gold Coins recognise contribution to the community and buy visibility inside it. Confusing them is easy, so here is the distinction.
What Gold is
A community standing currency. It reflects that you have contributed something the community values — bringing in a useful member, taking part, helping the network work.
What Gold buys
Two things, and only two: a profile boost and job-board priority. Both are visibility inside Knozii.
Gold can never buy anything with a cash price. Not membership, not exam attempts, not goods.
It expires after 30 days
Gold carries a visible countdown on your balance. It is not a savings mechanism and is not meant to accumulate — it is recognition of recent contribution, spent on recent visibility.
It can never become diamonds
The conversion does not exist and is prevented at the database level. If it were possible, community contribution would become a route to goods with real cash value, and the value of a diamond would stop being tied to the activity that earns it.
Priority is not preference
This is the important limit. Job-board priority affects your visibility, not the outcome. Merchants still select on fit, verified skills, reliability and reputation, and applicants are still ranked by Profile Strength. Gold can help a merchant see you; it cannot move a weaker candidate ahead of a stronger one.
Anything else would break the rule that paying — or contributing — never buys better job access.
Why referrals reward Gold
Because someone who brings in a useful member has done something worth recognising, and because paying cash for it would turn the community into a recruitment operation. Gold acknowledges the contribution without creating an income stream out of introductions.
The short version
Gold is recognition, it is temporary, it buys attention rather than advantage, and it stays firmly separate from money.
