Terms of service

The short version

This summary is for orientation only. The numbered sections below are the agreement.

These terms are a contract between you and Knozii Ltd. They apply when you use knozii.com, the web app or the Android app, whether you are testing quizzes, working on tasks, posting tasks as a client, or publishing as a creator.

By creating an account you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the platform.

You must be aged 18 or over, using your own identity. One person, one account. Accounts are personal and may not be sold, shared or transferred.

Because Knozii involves cash stakes and paid work, we may refuse or close an account where we cannot verify identity, where local law prohibits the activity, or where we reasonably believe the account is being operated on behalf of someone else.

You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.

The information you give during onboarding — including your name, skills and location — must be accurate. Assessment results and task history are attached to that identity, and misrepresenting it undermines the whole point of the platform.

Some game modes are free and some require a cash stake. Where a stake applies it is shown before you enter, and entering is a decision to spend that amount.

Outcomes are determined by your answers, not by chance. Quizzes are difficulty-calibrated, power-ups are disabled in solo test and in assessments, and diamonds cannot be purchased. We may void a result, reverse a payout, or close an account where we find cheating, automation, collusion, multiple accounts, or exploitation of a defect.

A badge records that you passed a specific assessment at a specific time. It is our statement about a test result, not a warranty by us of your ability, and it remains our property to award, withhold or withdraw.

Assessment content is confidential. Copying, recording, distributing or collecting questions and answers is a serious breach of these terms and will cost you your badges and, in most cases, your account.

We may revise assessments, pass marks and badge levels. Where a change affects a badge you already hold, we will tell you before it takes effect.

Knozii operates the marketplace. A task is an arrangement between the client who posted it and the tasker who is allocated to it, on the terms published on the task page.

Applying costs diamonds, and that entry is spent when you apply. It is not refunded if you are not allocated, because the fee is what keeps applicant pools small and reviewable.

If you are allocated a task, you agree to deliver what the task describes, by the stated deadline, and to submit the proof the task requires. Work must be your own and must not infringe anyone else’s rights.

Posting is free. When an applicant is allocated you fund the task value, which is held until you accept the delivery. Accepting releases payment; you may not take delivery of usable work and then decline to pay for it.

You are responsible for writing acceptance criteria that are specific enough to be reviewed against, and for reviewing submissions within the stated window. Tasks must be lawful, must not require anyone to breach a third party’s rights, and must not be used to solicit taskers off-platform to avoid fees.

Balances are held in separate wallets according to where the money came from, and each has its own withdrawal conditions and minimums, published in the app.

Before your first withdrawal we verify that the name on your payout method matches your account. Any transaction fee is calculated and displayed before you confirm, and every payout produces a reference you can quote to support.

We may hold a payout while we investigate a suspected breach of these terms, and we may deduct amounts credited in error or obtained through prohibited conduct.

You keep ownership of clips you record. By publishing to Knozii you give us a licence to host, display and distribute that content on the platform and to promote Knozii, which you can end by deleting the content.

Your referral code is burned into the video you produce. Do not attempt to strip, obscure or falsify it, and do not use misleading claims about earnings to recruit referrals. Referral and bounty rewards may be withheld where signups are fabricated, incentivised improperly, or self-referred.

Use Knozii for what it is for. The following will end your access:

If a client and tasker disagree about a delivery, either party can raise it with us. We review the submission against the acceptance criteria published on the task and the platform record of what was delivered and when.

Our decision determines only whether held funds are released or returned. It is not a legal judgment, and it does not prevent either party pursuing other remedies.

We work to keep Knozii available but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, and some described as planned may never ship. Where the app requires an update to keep working correctly, you may need to install it before continuing.

We may change these terms. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Knozii after that date means you accept the revised terms.

Knozii provides the marketplace and the assessment system. We are not a party to the work agreed between clients and taskers, and we do not guarantee that a task will be allocated to you, that a delivery will be accepted, or that a badge will lead to work.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost earnings or lost opportunities. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

You can close your account at any time. Withdraw any withdrawable balance first: non-cash coins and practice currency have no cash value and are lost on closure.

We may suspend or close an account for a breach of these terms, and we will explain why unless doing so would compromise an investigation. Where money is legitimately owed to you at closure, we will pay it once verification is complete.

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to Knozii Ltd, and disputes not resolved through our support process fall to the courts of that jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove rights you have under the law of your own country.
